In 1980, my mother, Rae Mendenhall Evanson, wrote a letter (included below) to her family, expressing her desire to gather information about her father, Thomas Tew Mendenhall.

She passed away in October 2011, having collected a substantial amount of material which her father and others had given her, in which she organized into a large binder. Unfortunately, due to its size and location, it was rarely accessed or seen by family members. To make her efforts more accessible, I’ve taken it upon myself to digitize everything she gathered and create a website dedicated to Thomas Tew Mendenhall. My hope is that all of his descendants can easily explore and appreciate his life and legacy. This is still a work in progress.

As part of this project, I’d also like to update the family directory (parents & children) with current email addresses and phone numbers. So far, the website includes information from the families of Karen Olsen and Rae Evanson.

If you’re willing, please help by contributing any information you can. Your support would mean a lot.

I've always had a deep love and admiration for my grandfather, Thomas Tew Mendenhall.

Thank you so much.
